The telecommunications giant has given its customers free airtime and data worth over ₦8.4 billion.

To mark its twenty year anniversary, MTN Nigeria has also pledged to gift twenty lucky customers brand new SUV cars. The lucky winners will emerge from users who registered with MTN each year since the company joined the Nigerian telecommunications community.

MTN Nigeria fulfilled its pledge on the 22nd of August, 2021, when it announced the twenty new car owners at a media event at its Lagos headquarters. These customers — who were randomly selected from millions of eligible subscribers — were presented with brand new HRV SUVs.

One of the lucky winners — Mr. Akintade Olalekan Akinloye — a Lagos-based business owner said he did not believe the story was true until he contacted one of the company’s offices. Speaking in Yoruba language, he said, “I carry out business transactions using my MTN SIM. I received a call one day from one of their customer representatives but assumed it was a scam. So, I decided to visit their office at Ikeja to make a complaint about the call I received. It was then I got the news that it was not a scam. I was so happy that I danced heartily.”

“MTN is one of the best companies in Nigeria. I am grateful to MTN and pray that they continue to receive God’s blessings”, he further stated.

For MTN, they are certain that their journey in Nigeria has just begun and greater things are on the horizon.

The company hopes that its millions of subscribers will continue to patronize their services, trust their brand, and support their interests. They also said that they will continue to ensure they provide excellent services to their customers.
