ROAM, the new e-bus moniker reveals the electric automaker’s visionary insights to expand across its domestic market. ROAM is keen on influencing the African automotive production industry. It is worth noting that ROAM also manufactures electric motorcycles under the same e-bus brand. Recall that the e-motorcycle production started when the automaker is licensed as OpiBus.

ROAM is previously called OpiBus.

The previously called OpiBus depicts the automaker’s expertise in building electric buses — designed for mass transit. The ROAM rebranding portrays the e-bis automaker’s diversification in technology solutions — aside from the digital inclusion ROAM sells as a transport solution.

Just as the name implies “ROAM”, it tallies with the e-automakers objective to influence the African mass transit transportation system traveling across the crannies of Africa powered by integrating technology or clean energy with mechanical engineering.

ROAM CEO, Filip Lövström, shared valuable motives for the rebranding strategic development that is “intended to reflect the company’s ambition to electrify Africa’s transportation sector, as well as its grand ambition to deliver disruptive technologies optimized for the local use case all over the continent.”

Even as an e-bike, ROAM transit system is addressed as transport solutions for the lengthy destination — this includes ROAM custom e-motorcycle soluble to out-distance travels roaming a geographical location, such as Kenya.

ROAM keenness in selling transport solutions addresses the initial motive to develop a mass transit e-bus to complete destined cross-border travels within Africa — and a futuristic development to expand to the Western automotive marketplace. For context, ROAM has retained the sole purpose of solving complex transport problems since the e-bus debut in 2017 — an irregular transportation system is significantly influenced by unavailable means of transportation in Africa.

“This is more than a name change, it’s a milestone that brings us closer to realizing our ambition as leaders in providing electric mobility solutions and energy systems for the African region. It is exciting to see how far we have come and forging forward, it is even more thrilling seeing there are endless possibilities to what we can achieve in Africa,” Lövström continued.

Lövström affirmed ROAM is extending the automotive reach across Africa — this clarifies the e-bus automaker’s strategic rebranding. Nonetheless, ROAM will continue the transportation solution via electric vehicles it started as OpiBus. The pre-existing ROAM e-bus automaker is set to keep up with the competition amongst other electric vehicles automakers such as BasiGo and Little Cab automobiles business.

Although the Litte Cab transport solutions are designed for mobile educational systems whereby the EV automaker has reportedly consorted Kenyan universities to indulge in campus mobility via the e-scooter and e-motorcycle Little Cab designed for student-on-campus mobility infrastructure.

ROAM has iteratively challenged the Kenyan-based EV automakers with technology innovation that pose a digital inclusion by selling multiple technology solutions as a service such as ROAM, Charging and Muse-as-a-services, and ROAM Energy. ROAM’s multipurpose technology solutions have also improved the e-bus automaker’s revenue growth, threatening to rival its counterparts.

In sum, ROAM sells e-buses soluble for cross-border mass transit, Charging and Muse-as-a-services focus on technology solutions to Utility, Mining, and Safari segment transition, and ROAM Energy serves nutrient inclusion and agricultural development. ROAM — a technology company involved with significant African solutions as a service — this business initiative has sustained ROAM’s dedication to influencing the African automotive sector with .clean energy for promoting technology solutions.

Lövström announced ROAM and its subsidiaries will increase production to maximize strategic salesforce as well as channel the ROAM’s unified resources to accelerate the e -bus futuristic innovative modification. ROAM’s commitment to innovate Africa’s transportation sector with electric automobiles reveals the e-automakers intent to deploy more e-bus across Africa tallies with ROAM’s expansion scheme and rivalry strategy to serve an African mass population with cross-border transportation solutions.
