These start-ups represent the entrepreneurs and tech developers focused on AI innovation in Nigeria

UbenwaThis is an eHealth tech startup that uses AI to detect birth asphyxia, a condition that causes brain damage or death in newborns, by analyzing their cries. Ubenwa Health offers a mobile app that allows parents and health workers to record and analyze the cries of babies and get instant feedback on their risk of asphyxia. 

AIfluence (Kenya)

AIfluenceThis is a marketing start-up that uses AI to match brands with the most relevant and influential online creators. AIfluence offers a platform that allows brands to launch, manage, and measure influencer marketing campaigns across Africa and beyond.

GotBot (South Africa)

GotBotThis is a customer service startup that uses AI to create voice assistants for various industries. GotBot offers a platform that allows businesses to build, deploy, and optimize conversational agents that can handle customer queries and transactions. 

coverAI (Nigeria/USA)

CoveraiCoverAI acquisition erupted from the start-up tech marketplace where it eventually sold to Writesea after fielding offers from 15 potential buyers. With CoverAI under his belt, Adolphus is currently working on a second product which he hopes to sell for six figures within six months

Writesea, a New York-based firm specializing in white-label services for recruitment marketplaces, has acquired CoverAI, a Nigerian AI startup, for an undisclosed amount in a five-figure deal

Synapse Analytics (Egypt)

Synapse AnalyticsThis is a data science startup that uses AI to provide business intelligence and analytics solutions for various sectors. Synapse Analytics offers a platform that allows businesses to access, analyze, and visualize data from various sources and gain insights and recommendations.

Xineoh (South Africa)

Xineoh AI This is a recommendation engine startup that uses AI to predict customer behavior and preferences. Xineoh offers a platform that allows businesses to personalize their products, services, and content for each customer and increase their engagement and retention.
